Twitter strategy that works like a dream
To all…..a great strategy for using Twitter to build up targetted business relationships is to find the main people in your industry, start off with the top ten.
Look at their list of followers and what you want to do is to follow the first 100 or so (depending on the relative size of yuor market) of each of their followers. Give each of these people 7 days to follow you back (make sure you have your line of business etc in your Twitter profile so they can see you’re in the same niche), those that dont follow you back, dump them.
After you have a decent number and have been corresponding between some of them, twitter things like ‘What is the most pressing problem you are facing now regarding (your industry) ?
Note the replies you get and start to deliver your ‘sales message’ from that angle, especially on Twitter, dont just do it the once, keep Tweeting testing different ways of saying the same thing, same as ideally you would anywhere else, make sure you have a link to a highly relevant landing page on your website, ideally with an opt in form on there linking to a call to action page whether or not they opt in.

Hi Michael,
I really like this post. I only have 10 followers and used the tweetergeeter thing to get them but it didn’t amount to anything significant. I will try this,
Enjoy the journey

HI, I’m also in John’s class and just stopped by to see how your blog is going. Looking Great! Good information Too. The Cruise looks like fun and the Twitter info is good stuff.
Are you in Florida? I’m located in Clearwater, Florida. I’ll be back.

Hello Michael,
What a great post! This Twitter things is still a mystery to me. The step I followed is to find the niche and then pick some of the people that follow them, and it seems to work like a charm (just like you said). The part I don’t anything about is how to weed out the ones that don’t end up following back?? And then I have a whole bunch of followers that don’t have anything to do with my keywords (eBay, Internet marketing, working from home, etc).
Any Thoughts
